Thanks to everyone who visited the Sunflower field and donated so generously 🌻❀️

The Borrisokane Sunflower Festival Committee recently presented a cheque for €3,000 to North Tipperary Hospice/Suaimhneas following their very successful fundraiser. We congratulate and thank the organisers for their ingenuity in coming up with such a novel and popular event and for their generous donation to our funds. The large display of sunflowers on lands at the rear of their hall was a sight to behold and attracted a great number of visitors on each of the festival days. Well done to all involved and to all who visited and donated so generously.
Pictured by Bridget Delaney at the presentation were (L to R) Joannes Berkery, Seamus Costello, Paddy Heffernan (all hospice) Joe Austin, Laurna Mooney, Lilian Austin, Angel Donovan, Nigel Foxton, Diana Austin and Mary Foxton.

The Borrisokane Sunflower Festival charity partner is the North Tipp Hospice Support Services

They provide a range of free, confidential, and supportive services to those affected by cancer and life-limiting illnesses, and their families, in North Tipperary.

These services include emotional support, practical information, counselling, complementary therapies, and support groups, operating from centers in Nenagh, Thurles, and soon Roscrea, as well as in-home care services.

The organization is a community-based, non-profit entity that relies solely on donations and fundraising to maintain its operations. So all donations gathered for this worthy cause at the festival will be welcome and much appreciated.

We are open again next weekend on Saturday the 9th, 10am-12pm and 2pm-6pm and Sunday 10th, 2pm-6pm.
