The routes of the Tour de Burren take cyclists through some of Ireland's most breathtaking, unique and unforgettable landscapes.

From dramatic limestone pavements to stunning coastal views, there are plenty of moments worth pausing for including the famous Fr Ted House. If you'd like to stop and take in the scenery, please remember to pull in safely and be mindful of other road users. Saturday is a busy time of year for tourist traffic and farm machinery.

Before setting off for Barefield, please take a few minutes to read the important information in the Rider Zone and your route details on our website. Your safety is our top priority, and we ask all participants to familiarise themselves with the event guidelines before arriving.

Our team will be at Hassett's Bar from 4.00pm on Friday to answer any questions in person. If there is anything you're unsure about beforehand, feel free to email us at [email protected].

We would also like to make participants aware that a young local mother has recently passed away, and her funeral will take place in Barefield Church on Saturday. As a mark of respect to her family and the wider community, we kindly ask all cyclists to park in the field behind Hassett's Bar (Eircode V95 YX37) and leave all other parking spaces available for those attending her funeral. May she rest in peace.

The free family cycle scheduled for Saturday, 20th June has been postponed as a mark of respect following the passing of a young local mother.

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and the wider Barefield community at this difficult time.

Details of the rescheduled event will be announced next week.
