The countdown is on!

The RDS is a week away from debuting The Grand Hall as Dublin’s newest wedding venue. From ceremony to drinks receptions to evening receptions, we are very excited to talk about all things The Grand Hall at The Wedding Show and have the opportunity to showcase the space across the weekend.

Our team will be located at stand M14 on the balcony, and The Grand Hall will be available for viewing from 10:00am – 4:00pm Saturday & Sunday, so if you would like to hear more about our offerings, our team will be on hand to answer your queries. We’ll see you there!

🌲 Celebrating 40 years of the RDS Forest & Woodland Awards

Today we officially launched the 2027 RDS Forest & Woodland Awards, marking four decades of recognising excellence in Irish forestry and woodland management.

We were delighted to be joined by Niall Collins, Minister of State for Forestry, Farm Safety and Horticulture, and RDS President Hilary Hough, alongside a fantastic line-up of speakers and contributors from across the forestry sector, to mark this milestone.

The Awards recognise farmers and woodland owners leading the way in sustainable management, environmental protection and biodiversity.

Delivered in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine , Teagasc and Woodlands of Ireland .

Meet the 2026 winner of the Teagasc Farm Forestry Award, Stephen Morrison from County Kildare.

Stephen’s approach to farm forestry highlights the important role that working farmers can play in creating a more sustainable and resilient future for Irish agriculture, while enhancing biodiversity, supporting the landscape and contributing to the rural economy.

The Teagasc Farm Forestry Award recognises working farmers who successfully integrate forestry into their farming systems, demonstrating how trees and agriculture can work together to deliver lasting environmental, social and economic benefits.

The RDS Forest and Woodland Awards are delivered in collaboration with the Department of Agriculture, Food and the Marine, Teagasc and Woodlands of Ireland. The 2027 Awards will open for entries on Tuesday, August 25th.
