💔 Remembering Marian Browne RIP.

We are deeply saddened to share the passing of Marian Browne — a beloved festival volunteer, valued adviser, loyal friend, and one of the true cornerstones of our community.

Marian was the recipient of the Spirit of the Festival Award – The Kevin Clarke Inaugural Perpetual Shield as Ballina Salmon Festival Volunteer 2023, recognising not only her incredible volunteering that year but for over 20 years of selfless service to the festival and the wider Ballina community.

Marian truly embodied the very best of Ballina — her kindness, generosity, and deep sense of community touched everyone who knew her. A lifelong volunteer and friend to many, she gave so much of herself in service to others. Through her dedication to the Ballina Stephenites GAA Club , her wholehearted involvement with the Ballina Salmon Festival, and countless other local causes, Marian shared her time, her warmth, and her laughter freely. Her spirit and love for this town will live on in all who had the privilege to know her.

May her memory continue to inspire us all. 💙

Our thoughts and prayers are with her family and friends.
Ar dheis Dé go raibh a hanam.
