Blueway Canoe Marathon

Blueway Canoe Marathon Ireland's Ultra Canoe Marathon Challange The Blueway Marathon Challenge take place on May 31st 2015 in Athy Co. Kildare. Participants start and finish in Athy.

It consist of 3 challenge races as follows:

Ultra Canoe Marathon Challange
The Blueway Ultra Canoe Marathon Challenge consists of a 47 Kilometre looped flat water
endurance paddle along the Grand Canal and River Barrow. This challenge is for K1 and K2 paddlers only and those taking part should be experienced in long distance endurance paddling. Fastest boat home will receive a €350 voucher for

the Great Outdoors. Registration is online at www.bluewaycanoemarathon.com Closing date for entries is May 22nd at 5pm. Late entries on the day subject to an administration fee.

21K Half-Marathon Challenge
The Blueway 21K Half-Marathon Challenge consists of a looped route taking in the Grand Canal, Stradbally River and River Barrow. This Challenge is open to experienced long-distance flat water paddlers in General Purpose Kayaks and Open Canoes. Fastest boat home, regardless of category, will receive a €250 voucher for the Great Outdoors. Late entries on the day subject to an administration fee.

10K Canoe Challenge
The Blueway 10K Canoe Challenge consists of a looped route starting and finishing in Athy. This challenge is open to all paddlers in the following classes: K1, K2, General Purpose, and
Open Canoe. The route follows the Grand Canal to Churchtown and then back to Athy via the River Barrow. Fastest boat home, regardless of category, will receive a €150 voucher for the Great Outdoors. Late entries on the day subject to an administration fee.

Here are the results of today's Blueway Canoe Marathon Challenge. ADDITIONAL 10k CANADIAN CHALLENGE ADDED

All gearing up here in Athy for the Challenge in two weeks time. Here are the off times for each route:
The 47k sets off at 10am.
The 21k off at 12 noon.
And the 10k is off at 12.30pm.
