The UN Climate Change Conference, or COP27, is being held from November 6-18, 2022, in Sharm El Sheikh, Egypt. This year’s conference includes the ocean as a major topic in the discussions, underlining the fact that the ocean is a fundamental part of the climate system as well as the global response to climate change.

On December 7 - 19, 2022 in Montreal, Canada, governments from around the world will come together for the UN Biodiversity Conference, or COP 15, to agree on a new set of goals to guide global action through 2030 to halt and reverse nature loss.

To further highlight the role of the oceans and its protection amidst these global forums, CTC, in collaboration with the Coral Triangle Initiative Regional Secretariat and The Nature Conservancy, aim to shine a spotlight on actions undertaken by women leaders across the region towards climate action, and marine protected area management linked to the global goal to protect 30% of the world’s oceans by 2030.

Join us this Friday, for our second online learning exchange and virtual exchange entitled: Coral Triangle Women Leaders Kickstarting Climate Action and Ocean Protection Towards the 30 x 30 Goal.
