I rarely post images of myself, but, today is an exception as I have an important message to share with you. Vega urgently needs your help. For over 20 years, our beloved 130-year-old wooden sailing vessel has braved oceans and storms delivering donated medical and educational supplies to some of the world’s most remote island communities.
Meggi and I volunteered Vega and ourselves—sourcing and delivering nearly 300 tons of life-changing supplies to forgotten health workers, midwives, and teachers on those islands. .
Now, Vega faces a critical crossroad. After last year’s major refit and my recent surgeries, our funds are sorely depleted. Yet, we still need about $24,800 to repair sails and rigging, cover fuel, meet basic running costs, and an essential medical procedure.

Since all final exams in Indonesia are now on line it is important that schools have access to computers. Our friend Fadli sent me this image today showing primary students preparing for this year's exams. This was a practice session where students from the out islands, that do not have computers in their schools, come to Medang to learn how to use a computer to take the test and practice for the online exam. Vega proudly provided all of the computers and peripheral equipment to make this possible.
