What’s in a name? New Street Collective began as an informal work space in the summer of 2015 by Steven Lee and Christine Richard, both entrepreneurs and small business owners in Hong Kong who operating their own start-ups in the fields of design, furnishings and lifestyle. Bringing a spirit of collaboration and enthusiasm for beauty and simplicity of design, they decided to create a shared work and social space to explore merging design and creativity with work and living.
Originally located on New Street in the trendy neighborhood of Sheung Wan, NSC quickly developed into a small energetic community of creative artists, international design and branding start-ups. In January 2016, NSC reopened in its current location in its newly designed space that is also part of Seventhirtyam’s showroom.
New Street Collective, in collaboration with Seventhirtyam, develops a ‘Living Showroom’ and a ‘Working Laboratory for Design’.
