Through this collection, Ika Butoni not only presents the beauty of a traditional craft, but also demonstrates how cultural heritage can continue to find its place in contemporary life.

Batik Pati embodies values of patience, precision, and craftsmanship that have been passed down through generations. These values remain at the heart of the collection as a tribute to the artisans and traditions that keep this heritage alive.

By reinterpreting Batik Pati through contemporary silhouettes, Ika Butoni hopes to show that tradition is not something confined to the past, but something that can continue to be worn, celebrated, and evolve with time.

Deep midnight blue forms the foundation of this two-piece ensemble, adorned with butterfly motifs in luminous golden yellow that create a striking yet graceful contrast. A sculptural high collar with green and yellow gradients serves as the focal point, while the flowing wide sleeves bring movement and elegance to the silhouette.

The interplay of vibrant color transitions and hand-crafted shibori textures gives the piece a distinctive character, balancing artistic expression with refined sophistication. Follow to discover more creations that celebrate textile artistry through a contemporary perspective.

In this piece, I wanted to explore how softness and structure can exist together within a single silhouette.

Layers of translucent organza, treated with hand-dyed shibori techniques, create a form that feels light and fluid, while the corset-inspired details, piping, and construction bring definition and strength to the piece.

For me, every gradient and pattern created through the shibori process carries a result that can never be exactly repeated—giving each textile its own individuality and character.

Through this work, I wanted to bring together traditional craftsmanship and couture construction in a more modern expression that moves naturally with the body.

There’s something beautiful about preserving traditional techniques while allowing them to evolve into a more contemporary form. Through texture, layering, and handcrafted details, I wanted this piece to feel artistic, expressive, and timeless at once.

For me, shibori is not only about the patterns formed on fabric, but also about how process and precision become part of the final result.

Every fold, bind, and interaction of color creates a character that can never be completely repeated, giving each textile its own identity.

Through this approach, I want to bring traditional techniques into a more modern expression, without losing the craftsmanship behind them.

in eco print, color is not only about appearance, but also about the feeling a fabric can create 🌿✨

Through the tricolori technique, multiple tones are blended together to create depth, contrast, and dimension, allowing every botanical motif to feel more alive. The soft transitions and richer layers of color give each part of the fabric its own character while still flowing harmoniously as one piece.

This is what makes eco print feel so artistic, natural, unpredictable, and always unique in every creation.

The beauty of eco print is not only shaped by leaves and natural pigments, but also by the character of the fabric itself 🌿

On crinkle fabric, the patterns feel softer, more organic, and artistic as they follow the fabric’s natural texture. Meanwhile, on smooth fabric, every leaf detail appears sharper, cleaner, and more elegant.

That’s what makes every eco print piece feel unique in its own way
