ABB Formula E released the final Season Six calendar last week. Hong Kong will take a break from the race this upcoming season. Immense gratitude for everyone’s tremendous support. We look forward to experiencing electric street racing in Hong Kong in future.

Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy 繼續作為電動方程式的專屬副賽，將於下一季再臨香港。新一季加入電動方程式首創的「進攻模式」，為賽事加添新元素。
上屆香港車手Darryl O'Young 歐陽若曦以第六位完成賽事，今屆會否有更多本土車手出戰？大家拭目以待！

【Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy】
Jaguar I-Pace eTrophy continues its run in town as the official support series. An ‘Attack Mode’ of their own originated from Formula E will be introduced to spice the race up. Hong Kong-based driver Darryl O'Young 歐陽若曦 finished sixth last time out. Will we see more local drivers battle it out this time around? Keep watching this space!

【安全第一：頭環保護裝置】
有別於第一代戰車，第二代戰車配備「頭環」撞車保護裝置。這個裝置由三件鈦金屬組裝而成，由三間國際汽聯選用的獨立製造商生產，除了用來辨別車手是否正在使用進攻模式或FANBOOST，更重要的是在事故中保護車手的頭部。

【Safety Always Comes First - Halo】
Unlike the first generation, Gen2 cars are designed with a ‘halo’ crash protection system. Produced by three FIA-chosen independent manufacturers, the three-piece titanium structure not only shows whether drivers are on Attack Mode or FANBOOST, but more importantly is used for protecting driver’s head in accidents like this.

Season 6 is still full of unpredictability with only 4 teams having confirmed their drivers line-up. Will we see more rookies making their debut in Formula E or veterans keeping themselves in the mix? Can’t wait for the new chapter to unfold and the Championship to start off again in November!

【令難以預測的賽事更難預測】
因應第二代戰車的電池容量增倍，賽事形式也由固定圈數改成四十五分鐘加一圈。這在第五季為車隊的策略和能源管理帶來挑戰，有時候甚至會如短片所視，令他們付上沉重的代價。

可是，電動方程式向來迎難而上，現正考慮延長賽事時間。雖然這個計劃正在研究階段，但可以肯定的是，賽事只會更加刺激。

【Adding Unpredictability】
With the doubled battery capacity of Gen2 car, race format has changed from a set number of laps to 45 minutes plus one lap. This has throughout Season 5 proven to add challenge to teams’ strategies and power management, which at times took them a heavy toll, as can be seen from the video.

Yet Formula E never fears pushing the boundary and is considering extending race length. While this plan is still in the pipeline, one thing can be for sure—races will only get more exciting.
