以為用紙杯就環保啲？可能要再諗諗！
為了方便，我們常常選擇即棄紙杯，心諗：「至少唔係塑膠，應該比較環保掛？」
生產一個紙杯，原來需要耗用足足 4公升水！
生產即棄紙杯需要經過砍伐樹木、紙漿處理、塗層等多道工序。好多好多即棄產品在生產過程中的水耗遠高於產品本身的容量，紙杯的生產耗費大量水資源。
更關鍵的是，為了讓紙杯能裝熱飲而不滲漏，它的內層塗有一層薄薄的塑膠膜 (PE淋膜) 或薄蠟製成的防水薄膜。正是這層膜，令紙杯在現行的回收系統下，變得極難回收，最終的歸宿依然是堆填區。

Think paper cups are more environmentally friendly? Think again!
For convenience, we often choose disposable paper cups, thinking, "At least they're not plastic, so they should be more environmentally friendly, right?"
Producing just one paper cup requires a whopping 4 liters of water!
The production of disposable paper cups involves multiple processes, including logging, pulp processing, and coating. Many disposable products consume far more water than their actual capacity during production; paper cup production consumes a significant amount of water.
More importantly, to prevent leaks when holding hot drinks, paper cups are coated with a thin layer of waterproof plastic film (PE film) or wax. It's this film that makes paper cups extremely difficult to recycle under the current recycling system, ultimately ending up in landfills.
Our daily drinking habits are unknowingly consuming precious resources ☕️ So what? You can actually be a part of making a difference!
