In the first session of Test Match 1, the ladies from Team Hong Kong showed their class by taking early leads in both disciplines (pairs and triples), and never looked back. Winning both disciplines with fairly comfortable margins, giving them an 11-shot advantage going into the second session. Will be interesting with the return of Vivian Yip and Dorothy Yu to the CCC team tomorrow!!

On the Men’s side, the glory split as each side delivered half-game showtime. CCC Men’s pairs were unstoppable in the first half, and built up a lead of 11 shots, only for the HK Pairs, led by HK’s best Tony Cheung, came back strongly to force the game to a tie.

Likewise in the Men’s Triples, Team HK’s young talent James Po kept converting, taking early lead against former HK international Ken Chan by as many as 10 shots. In the second half, CCC's hard work, a large part due to Bronson Fung's reliable leading, kept hopes alive, and a fantastic performance in the last end gave them 3 shots to tie the game, which will guarantee to push the players to their limits in the second session!!!

Results in the First Session:
Ladies’ Pairs: CCC (Susanna Shea/Ada Lai) 11 - 17 HK(Cheryl Chan/Angel So)
Ladies’ Triples: CCC (Jessica Leung/Andrea Chan/Olivia Yu) 17 - 22 HK (Phyllis Wong/Shirley Ko/Helen Cheung)
Men’s Pairs: CCC (Martin Sham/Lui Chin Hong ) 17 - 17 HK (Jordi Lo/Tony Cheung)
Men’s Triples: CCC (Bronson Fung/Simpson Chang/Ken Chan ) 15 - 15 HK (Imen Tang/Anthony So/James Po)
