Heute und morgen sind wir mit eigenklang beim Gängeviertel-Geburtstag: 15 Jahre Baustelle
22. — 25.08.2024

Vier Tage: Kunst, Diskurs, Festival, Konzerte, Club, Ausstellungen, Workshops, Lesungen, Theater, Spontanes & Unerwartetes.

Stell dir vor, dein Projekt ist eine ewige Baustelle. Kaum ist eine Ecke fertig, geht es an der nächsten weiter. Klingt anstrengend? Ja, stimmt. So eine Baustelle hat aber auch Vorteile. Man schafft sich etwa fortwährend neue Skills drauf. Das Gängeviertel feiert vom 22. bis 25. August seinen Status als 15-jährige Baustelle. 15 Jahre Gängeviertel – das ist schon der Hammer! Und wir sind noch lange nicht fertig damit, euer liebster Störfaktor in der gentrifizierten Innenstadt zu sein.

Einst wurde das Gängeviertel zur miethaifreien Zone erklärt, doch zum 15. Geburtstag kommt Genosse Flosse trotzdem vorbei und tut das, was die Boulevardpresse von ihm erwartet: Menschen fressen. Oder auch nicht? Egal, schon der Gedanke daran ist doch Grund genug, den idyllischen Badeort zu sperren, den die Theatergruppe Candlelight Dynamite um die Geschwister Nadine und Denis Geyersbach mit ihrem Stück „Der weiße Hai“ in die Gänge bringt. Mit dabei ist auch die Regisseurin und Gängeviertel-Aktivistin Anne Sophie Domenz. Poetisch und chaotisch ist diese Theaterreise – HAPPS!

Content ist in diesem Jahr unser Fundament: Lesungen, Workshops, Panels, Ausstellungen! Leerstandsmelder, Queering AI, Terror von rechts außen, Who does space belong to?, Gedächtnislücken Ikebana, Playfight Konsens, Tuntenkabarett, a poem to everyon i ever fu**ed and one for myself — heißen nur einige Punkte in unserem Bauplan.

Kein Geburtstag ohne Baustellenlärm. Auf 8 + X Bühnen & Dancefloors freuen wir uns, neben von Beyond Borders und Step Into Bass kuratierten Flächen, auf Artists wie Maschin Kaput, Fish People, Nikra, Karmakind, Kollektiv Eigenklang, Jascha Hagen, 9EYE uvm.; es munkelt, dem Saal sei zudem eine Lichtinstallation und ein neues Soundsystem verpasst worden — vom Rohbau zum Club und wieder zurück.

about us

We are an audio-visual performance collective, setting up our spaceship to explore the unlimited posibilities of improvised and interactive live producing.

Therefore we turn you from passive listeners into playful musicians and - hopefully - into a fantastic orchestra of sounds. Using binaural microphones we are able to create multi layered soundscapes which are forming an artificial sound reality inside our ears. Each individual of the participating group feels connected to each other based on the universal language of sounds and it is a perfect exercise for equal status between everybody, initimacy and non-verbal communication through music.
