The 13th meeting of the CIVEX Commission and Conference has been hosted by Municipality of Alimos, at the invitation of the Mayor, Mr. Andreas Kondylis, during Thursday, 23 June 2022 and Friday, 24 June 2022. The main topic of the meeting was “The impact of managing migration and integration on local and regional authorities (LRAs), especially in border regions, and the need to enhance support to LRAs by the EU institutions”.

On the second day of the 13th CIVEX Conference, Mr. Margaritis Schinas, Vice-president of the European Commission, via a video message, highlighted that among others: “From Alimos to Medyka, we must acknowledge the extraordinary and hospitable welcome provided by Europe’s cities and regions. The Committee of the Regions’ ‘Help Ukraine’ Info Support Hub, matching needs and offers of support between local communities, is an excellent example of European solidarity in action”.



Στη διάρκεια των εναρκτήριων ομιλιών της δεύτερης ημέρας του 13ου Συνεδρίου της Επιτροπής CIVEX, στον Άλιμο, ο Αντιπρόεδρος της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής, κ. Μαργαρίτης Σχοινάς υπογράμμισε κατά την τοποθέτησή του μέσω βίντεο ότι «Από τον Άλιμο μέχρι την πόλη Medyka την Πολωνίας, πρέπει να αναγνωρίσουμε την εξαιρετική και φιλόξενη υποδοχή που μας προσφέρουν οι πόλεις και οι περιφέρειες της Ευρώπης. Ο Κόμβος Υποστήριξης Πληροφοριών «Help Ukraine» της Επιτροπής των Περιφερειών, ανταποκρίνεται στις ανάγκες και τις προσφορές υποστήριξης μεταξύ των τοπικών κοινοτήτων, είναι ένα εξαιρετικό παράδειγμα ευρωπαϊκής αλληλεγγύης σε δράση».
