Meet Steffi and Karsten.

Two Spartans from Germany. One partnership. And in 2026, your Team Captains.

There's a particular kind of trust that only builds between two people who have suffered together on a course. Who have looked at each other halfway up a climb and didn't need to say a word. Who have learned, race by race, what the other person looks like when they're about to break — and what they need to hear in that moment. Steffi and Karsten have that trust.

This year, they're carrying it across borders.

From one Spartan World Championship to the next, Steffi and Karsten will travel together as Germany's Team Captains — raising their flag, racing side by side, and bringing the discipline, the warmth, and the quiet stubbornness that has defined their journey to every venue they show up at.

We're going to be there for all of it. The early mornings. The long drives. The mud. The medals. The look they share at the start line that says: ready?

Meet Barbara and Josef.

Two Spartans from Slovakia. One team. And in 2026, your Team Captains.

Some people fall in love at dinner parties. Barbara and Josef fell in love at start lines — taping each other's wrists in the cold, sharing salt tabs at mile six, finding each other in the finish chute with mud on their faces and medals around their necks. Racing wasn't something they happened to share. It became the way they share everything.

This year, they're taking that bond on tour.

From the mountains to the coast, from one World Championship venue to the next, Barbara and Josef will travel the world together as Spartan Slovakia's Team Captains — carrying their flag, racing side by side, and showing what it looks like when two people decide that their next chapter is written one obstacle at a time.

We're going to follow every step. Every flight. Every training session. Every finish line.

Because some couples plan vacations. These two plan races.
