What if the first dance didn’t happen after dinner….but before the wedding reception even started?
At this wedding at Metohi Istoria, the timeline unfolded differently.
While guests were enjoying cocktails outside the castle by the old well, under the shade of the grape vines, something unexpected was about to happen.
The couple had already arrived from the church.
And suddenly…..the castle gate opened.
They welcomed their guests from inside the castle walls and ran into the courtyard together as everyone followed.
Then the music began.
A violin started playing as the sky slowly turned into the deep blue of the evening.
Before anyone sat for dinner, before speeches, before the party…the couple shared their first dance.
But the moment didn’t end there.
Guests gathered around them, holding colourful ribbons that slowly wrapped around the couple as they danced.
The Ribbon Circle turned into a beautiful symbol.
Friends and family literally were weaving their love and wishes around the couple.
By the time the dance ended, the sky had turned dark, the candles were glowing and the celebration was only just beginning.
Sometimes the most magical wedding moments happen when you break the traditional order.
