In the spirit of our textile corner, we thought we’d take a moment to celebrate one of the most famous weavers from Greek myth, the one and only Penelope 🪡

The loyal, steadfast wife of Odysseus managed to elude the pushy suitors for years thanks to her daily weaving (and nightly un-weaving). Join us at AAF 2026 to learn more about the archaeology of textiles, ancient wool-making and try out a life-sized loom! 🧶
