Όταν δημιουργήθηκε το 2010, ονομαζόταν “The Bar Academy Show” και έλαβε χώρα στο Metropolitan Expo, δίπλα στο αεροδρόμιο, συμμετείχαν 9 εκθέτες και το επισκέφθηκαν περίπου 1.000 επισκέπτες.
Αυτή ήταν η αρχή της προσπάθειας να στηθεί ένας νέος θεσμός που θα γίνει το ετήσιο ραντεβού για τον κλάδο των bars. Στα χρόνια που ακολούθησαν, είχε τη στήρ
ιξη από όλες τις εταιρίες με άμεση και έμμεση δραστηριότητα στον κλάδο.
Ιδιαίτερο ορόσημο είναι η διοργάνωση του 2012, όπου το «Athens Bar Show» μεταφέρεται στο κέντρο της Αθήνας, στο μοντέρνο χώρο του “The Hub Events“ για να εξυπηρετήσει καλύτερα τους επισκέπτες, προσφέροντας πολύ εύκολη, άνετη και κυρίως ασφαλή πρόσβαση στην έκθεση με τη χρήση μέσων μαζικής μεταφοράς.
Το 2013 οι επισκέπτες έφτασαν τους 3.000 με αποτέλεσμα το 2014 να μεταφερθεί στην Τεχνόπολη του Δήμου Αθηναίων.
Το 2015 οι επισκέπτες έφτασαν τους 7.000 ενώ το 2016 τους 8.000 και συμμετείχαν 58 εταιρίες, από Ελλάδα και εξωτερικό. Το Athens Bar Show θεωρείται ένα από τα μεγαλύτερα Bar Show του Πλανήτη, το οποίο διατηρεί ως κύριο πυλώνα την εκπαίδευση, τη διαμοίραση γνώσης, ιδεών και έμπνευσης για τους επαγγελματίες που το επισκέπτονται.
Η εκδήλωση που διοργανώνει η Bar Academy, προσφέρει στους επαγγελματίες τη δυνατότητα να ανακαλύψουν νέα προϊόντα, καινοτόμα εργαλεία, να ενημερωθούν για νέους τρόπους παρασκευής και σερβιρίσματος cocktail και να έρθουν σε επαφή με επιτυχημένα business models μέσα από σεμινάρια, παρουσιάσεις & γευσιγνωσίες. When it first launched, back in 2010 it was named “The Bar Academy Show” and was held in the Metropolitan Expo, next to Athens airport. That was the beginning of an effort to establish an institution that would become the annual Meeting of the bar industry. In the years that followed, Athens Bar Show was supported by every company that is involved in the industry, directly or indirectly. The year 2012 was a landmark: the Athens Bar Show is relocated to a venue in the center of Athens, “The Hub Events”. Visitors could now enjoy an easy, comfortable and, above all safe, access to the exhibition by means of public transportation. The visitor count in 2013 went up to an incredible 3.000 people which showed the need to relocate the 2014 exhibition to a larger and better-suited venue – so Technopolis go the Municipality of Athens was selected. The exhibition grew very rapidly with 7.000 visitors in 2015. In 2016, 8.000 visitors had the invaluable opportunity to visit, meet and learn from 58 exhibiting companies (domestic and international) giving over 80 hours of seminars, presentations, and case studies. Athens Bar Show is regarded as one of the largest bar shows in the World, having as a pillar the spread of education and knowledge. Visitors to the exhibition, organized by Bar Academy Hellas, can stay informed with current and emerging trends, discover new and exciting products and equipment, learn and get inspired by successful business models, learn and grow through seminars and workshops.
