We are excited to announce our collaboration with the 24th Preveza Jazz Festival for this year, bringing Austrian live-techno trio elektro guzzi to the festival's open-air stage on Sunday, 31 May at 21:00.

Techno precision driven by live energy and analogue soul, Elektro Guzzi returns with their 11th studio album, Liquid Center, more focused than ever, yet more sonically open. Over the course of a year, the band developed a recording technique that translates their analogue live energy into a sound that captures both the physicality of a band in space and the cool abstraction of techno. A sound that doesn't chase loudness, but detail — clear, warm, deep, with an almost artificial precision. What’s coming has nothing to do with the jazz (or techno) you know!

Our collaboration with the Preveza Jazz Festival, with over two decades of musical presence, provides a unique opportunity for 🇦🇹 trio Elektro Guzzi to electrify Epirus's spectacular seaside stage!

Get ready to jive! 🎷♪
The Austrian-Greek Music Summer continues this year’s ultimate musical celebration, opening before the vast, music-loving audience of the 25th edition of Athens Jazz!
The renowned Austrian🇦🇹 trio elektro guzzi will take the stage as headliner on Saturday, 30 May, the most danceable day of the festival!

Bernhard Hammer on guitar, Jakob Schneidewind on bass, and Bernhard Breuer on drums, the Vienna-based band is set to perform their mind-blowing analogue techno without laptops or loopers. With precision and cohesiveness that border on the artificial, challenging our preconceptions of jazz (and techno) with their unique sonic identity.

Each year, we are thrilled to collaborate with prominent festivals such as the Athens Jazz Festival. Our partnership enables us to support talented young Austrian musicians and enrich their international dialogue within the Greek music community.

Looking at all the remarkable young composers whose exceptional work shaped the OutHear New Music Week 2026!
We were deeply moved to be part of this year’s 5th edition and witness these emerging, international talents lead in the spirit of the festival as Deputy Ambassador Philipp Wassermann highlighted during his greetings at the closing concert in Thessaloniki.
OutHEAR’s 2026 innovative and intensive international program in music composition featured masterclasses and workshops, the international Symposium on “Fragile Present, Imaginative Futures” and two wonderful concerts by Klangforum Wien & PPCM Graz “In Between Bodies and Machines” (Works for Solo, Solo & Electronics ♪ Greek premiere of Piano Automaton by Winfried Ritsch) and “Contrasting Currents” (works for mixed ensemble) ♪ Fellows Mentorship, alongside distinguished faculty Mark Andre, Annesley Black, Dimitri Papageorgiou, Orestis Toufektsis ♪ diving into contemporary composition.
We are very grateful to be part of this inspiring initiative!

The Austrian-Greek Music Summer 2026 continues its journey with the Austrian formation Lucy Dreams at Athens Music Week

The musical landscape is being reshaped by the evolving relationship between humans and machines.
Lucy Dreams embodies this transformation through a seamless fusion of analog and digital art, with Lucy — an active artificial band member — at the heart of their creative vision.
The trio’s concept explores the dynamic between Lucy and her human counterparts, presenting SonicWaveArtPop as both an expressive and immersive medium that captivates the senses while posing socially relevant questions.

We are glad to have outHEAR New Music Week 2026 again with us this year!

With a very interesting program in music composition held this year in Thessaloniki, outHEAR brings together young composers from around the world in an inspiring environment, provide them with workshops, masterclasses and opportunities for the performance of their works. For the first time, outHEAR initiated a special project for the Piano Automaton, presented by Winfried Ritsch.

Composer Fellows work closely with the ensembles Klangforum Wien and PPCM Graz (Performance Practice in Contemporary Music), alongside distinguished faculty Mark Andre, Annesley Black, Dimitri Papageorgiou, and Orestis Toufektsis. The program also includes an International Symposium (13–15 April, 2026)

Don’t miss the opportunity to dive into the inspiring festival via two very special concerts:

• Concert “In between bodies and machines” on 19 April features 18 works for solo instrument, electronics, and — for the first time in Greece— piano automaton, performed by musicians of Klangforum Wien and PPCM Graz, including works by 30 emerging composers.

• The closing concert “Contrasting Currents – New Works for Mixed Ensembles on 21 April presents 12 new works for mixed ensemble, performed by Klangforum Wien and PPCM Graz musicians.

A true highlight of the inauguration of the newly renovated neoclassical Greek–Austrian Cultural Center in Chalkida on 21 March 2026 was the brilliant performance of the Strings in Motion string quartet.
As part of the opening ceremony, they performed works by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart (Divertimento in D Major, KV 136: Allegro), Johann Strauss ("Wiener Blut" Waltzer, op. 354) and Nikos Skalkotas (Greek dance "Ipirotikos" and Greek dance "Kleftikos").
With expressive depth, Strings in Motion made the inauguration a truly memorable celebration of music and cultural exchange between Greece and Austria.
Many thanks to Professor Dimitris Karagiannis, the founder of the center, for his initiative, and heartfelt thanks to Strings in Motion for their outstanding performance!
