Brikamaba Youth and Sports will also use this opportunity to congratulate the Senegambia Champions, Brikama BA United after a 5️⃣ : 4️⃣ Post-Match penalty victory against Darsilameh United at the Brikamaba Football Field yesterday.

Brikamaba United are indeed great champions.

32 teams, 16 from the Gambia and 16 from Senegal competed for the trophy but Brikama BA United boldly stood still to be crowned the champions of the Senegambia Football Tournament. ⚽⚽⚽

We are also proud of Darsilameh United for reaching the final making it the Gambian Final instead of Senegambia.🤔🙏

QCell Signs Five-Year Partnership with Brikamaba Youth and Sports Association to Promote Rural Football

Gambia’s leading GSM operator, QCell has officially signed a Five-year partnership agreemen with the Brikamaba Youth and Sports Association (BYSA) to support and promote grassroots football development in Brikamaba and its satellite villages.

The landmark deal, aimed at uplifting sports in the Central River Region, underscores QCell’s continued commitment to youth empowerment and community development through sports.

As part of the agreement, one of the key initiatives currently underway is the decorating of front fence of the Brikamaba Mini Stadium. The project, which is progressing steadily, includes branding and beautification of the stadium’s frontage with QCell’s official colours and messages of youth engagement and sports development.

Speaking at the project site, Mr Babucarr Fatty Secretary General from BYSA expressed their appreciation to QCell for the timely support and highlighted how the partnership is already energizing local sports. They noted that the visual transformation of the stadium fence is just the beginning of several activities expected under the partnership.

The five-year deal is expected to include more infrastructural support, sponsorship of tournaments, and talent development programs aimed at nurturing young footballers in the region.

This partnership marks a significant step forward in bridging the rural-urban sports development gap in The Gambia.
