Nana Yaa Asantewaa I Museum
Ongoing artistic works and grounds preparation are underway at the Nana Yaa Asantewaa I Museum in Ejisu.

We are making steady progress toward completing this important cultural and historical project. The next phase will require funding to complete the entire project to the desired standard.

Together, we can preserve the legacy of Nana Yaa Asantewaa I, for generations to come.

Nana Yaa Asantewaa I Museum
As part of an important initiative dedicated to preserving our history, heritage, and the remarkable legacy of Nana Yaa Asantewaa I for generations to come, the Queen Mother of Ejisu, Nana Yaa Asantewaa II, has invited the Ag. Regional Director of the Kumasi Cultural Centre, Mr. Peter Marfo, to come on board and contribute his expertise and support towards the completion and development of the Nana Yaa Asantewaa I Museum.

The museum, which was initiated over 26 years ago, stands as a significant symbol of our rich cultural heritage and the enduring legacy of one of Ghana’s most celebrated heroines.

It is our collective responsibility to ensure that this important project is completed and serves its intended purpose; to educate, inspire, preserve our heritage, and keep the story of Nana Yaa Asantewaa I alive for generations yet unborn.

Students of BFA Ceramics from the Department of Industrial Art, Kwame Nkrumah University of Science and Technology (KNUST), have successfully completed their industrial internship at the Pottery and Ceramics Section of the Visual Arts Department, Centre For National Culture, Ashanti Region

During the internship, the students received intensive hands-on training in clay preparation, ware formation, decoration, firing, and finishing of pottery wares, transforming classroom knowledge into practical skills.

To mark the successful completion of the programme, the students mounted a mini exhibition showcasing their creativity, innovation, and craftsmanship.

Commending their outstanding performance, the Acting Ashanti Regional Director, Mr. Peter Marfo, applauded the students for their dedication, creativity, and commitment throughout the internship. He encouraged them to continue refining their skills, embrace innovation, and remain committed to preserving and promoting Ghana's rich cultural heritage through ceramics.
