PUBLIC SERVICE NOTICE
RE: FALSE INFORMATION ABOUT VIOLENCE IN AKROPONG
The attention of the 2025 Odwira Planning Committee has been drawn to certain information and disinformation circulating on some airwaves and social media platforms.

Reports alleging violence or unrest in Akropong are completely false and should be disregarded.

We assure everyone that peace and calm prevail in Akropong, and all activities marking the 2025 Akuapem Odwira Festival are proceeding smoothly, joyfully, and peacefully.

The public is therefore urged to ignore such misinformation and continue to participate fully in the festival.

We wish to remind everyone that the Grand Durbar, which is the climax of the celebration, will take place tomorrow, Friday, 24th October 2025, at 10:00 a.m. prompt, at the Forecourt of the Okuapehene’s Palace, Akropong, where Obrempongkese Oseadeeyo Kwasi Akuffo III, Okuapehene, will sit in state to receive dignitaries, citizens, and guests from far and near.

Let us all come together to celebrate our rich heritage in peace, unity, and pride.
