KTU Management Welcomes Face of Technical University 2025, Queen Kara (KTU) Koforidua Technical University KTU Radio 87.7MHz
The Vice-Chancellor, Pro Vice-Chancellor, Registrar, Dean of Students, and the Studentsโ Representative Council (SRC) Executives of Koforidua Technical University (KTU) have warmly received Queen Karah, winner of the recently concluded Face of Technical University 2025 pageant, during a courtesy visit to the university.
The Face of Technical University is a national beauty pageant that brings together contestants from all ten Technical Universities in Ghana. Beyond pageantry, the initiative serves as an advocacy platform aimed at promoting Technical University education, enhancing public awareness, and repositioning technical and vocational higher education as a critical component of Ghanaโs national development agenda. A key focus of the programme is the development of entrepreneurial skills through seminars, workshops, and structured training sessions.
Speaking on the significance of the initiative, the organisers, who are past students of Technical Universities, highlighted the role of the pageant in increasing the visibility of Technical Universities, formerly known as polytechnics, which have historically received limited public exposure. They noted that the platform helps communicate the value of practice-oriented and industry-relevant education to prospective students, business organisations, and other key stakeholders.
The Face of Technical University Beauty Pageant, formerly Face of Polytechnic, is solely originated by the Jeffmor Group, with support from the Ghana National Union of Technical Students (GNUTS). The organisers reaffirmed their commitment to leveraging the pageant as a strategic tool to promote technical education as a credible pathway to innovation, employability, and sustainable economic growth in Ghana.
