It’s now official! The organizers of the Korle Gonno Street Festival have announced the dates for this year’s celebration under the theme “Welcoming Our Heroes.”
The main festival will take place on August 7th, 8th, and 9th, 2026.
However, activities will kick off earlier in the week, starting from Monday, August 3rd, with a lineup of engaging events including:
🎨 Painting and arts
🩺 Health screenings
🧹 Clean-up exercises
🎮 Games and community activities
🔧 Preparations leading up to the main festival

KORLE GONNO STREET FESTIVAL 2026 – OFFICIAL LAUNCH
The Korle Gonno Street Festival, proudly organized by 9Tis Crew, is set to officially launch the 2026 edition at Oceanic Beach Resort on Saturday, 4th April 2026, from 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM.
This year’s theme is “Welcoming Our Heroes.”
Korle Gonno has produced many remarkable personalities who continue to make our community proud. Among them are Charles Nii Armah Mensah (Shatta Wale) – the King of African Dancehall, Richard Nii Armah Quaye, Jupitar – The Dancehall General, Kamelion, Benjamin Asare – Ghana Black Stars No.1, Ayitey Powers, and many other distinguished sons of the community.
For years, people said nothing good could come from Korle Gonno. But our heroes have proven that greatness can rise from our streets. From music to sports and business, they have shown the world that Korle Gonno breeds champions.
Join us as we celebrate our heroes and officially launch the most electrifying Korle Gonno Street Festival, which will take place on Rodger Avenue this August.
Let’s come together, celebrate our roots, and change the narrative about Korle Gonno.
