The Ewes are large ethnic group primarily residing in Ghana and Togo, with smaller populations in Benin and Nigeria.
They are located in the west African ethnic group with a large population in Ghana and the second largest population in Togo. They speak the Ewe language which belongs to the Niger-Congo Gbe family of languages.
They are known for their unique language distinct culture, and strong traditions, including ancestor worship and intricate weaving practices. Agbadza serves as a powerful symbol of their cultural dance heritage, which involves storytelling, and community bonding.

Aworkple and Amorkple is a staple food of the ewe people and It is similar to Banku a food staple of the Ga Adangme people in Ghana.
They are skilled weavers, creating intricate and colorful kente cloth, traditionally worn by royalty and now used for special occasions.

Agbadza is a vibrant Ewe dance from Ghana and also popular in Togo, Benin, and parts of Nigeria (parts of WestAfrica).
The dance mimics bird flight, and its movements and the drumming patterns are symbolic of strength, courage, resilience, etc.
The Anlo Ewe people in Ghana perform this dance during a major festivals like Hogbetsotso. Its also perform at occasion as funerals, marriage ceremonies, etc.

Agbadza's enduring legacy lies in its ability to connect the Ewe people to their past while celebrating their present culture and heritage.
