Another fascinating history lecture will be held in our space marking it the final one of the “season”, therefore you have to be there!

«Hi everyone! Long time no see! So, we have traveled a very, very long road — from the birth of civilization to the end of the Middle Ages. Now it is time for the final “season” of my lecture series: the Modern Era, which begins with a sequence of truly dramatic events.

We will find ourselves in Italy, greeting the dawn of a new age amid the rivalry of countless city-states — lavished with immense wealth and tempered by constant warfare. It is a land of artists and philosophers, shaping the image of the Europe that is soon to become the mistress of the world.

We will cross the oceans with the winds of change, carrying explorers, merchants, and conquerors driven by greed, faith, and curiosity. And we will witness the final days of great civilizations, hidden from the rest of the world for millennia, yet now destined to perish and dissolve into it.

For the first time, the world will become truly interconnected. People, animals, crops, and diseases will cross continents that had existed for centuries almost as if on different planets. And for the first time, humanity itself will stand at the center of this world — with all its energy, creative spirit, and destructive cruelty.

🎬 This Thursday, we are showing “Liquid Sky” (1982)

If your interests include movies about cyber-queer killers from another galaxy arriving on Earth in search of a drug released by the brain during or**sm — and infiltrating the punk community to get it — then we have great news for you!

We’ll watch “Liquid Sky” — a classic arthouse sci-fi film that became so cult in its time that several cinemas kept it running for 3 (!) years straight with full audiences. Even though it’s a strange and low-budget film, it definitely carries a certain historical value, and we’ll be glad if you spend this evening with us.
