Also any static steam or traction owners who would like to attend, we would love to hear from you.

Well she made it in the end! Due to a snag with the original Spitfire, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight pulled out the stops to ensure we had our flypast.
People have asked about details of the Spitfire...so here they are.

The aircraft was a Spitfire Mk.XVI Serial TE311. She is a low back, bubble canopy, clipped wing Spitfire running a Packard-built Merlin 266.
She entered service in the RAF on the 8th March 1945 after being assembled at Castle Bromwich.
She was flown on Saturday by Sqn Ldr. Giles Croft and flew from Gloucester Airport.
