As we move closer and closer to official opening date, meet the team that will be behind the scenes and ready to make your experience with us as wonderful as possible!
This is Ani, who in her second week and getting to know the site (including the ladle!) and the other members of the team. She's already been canvassing the neighbourhood to deliver some leaflets and chatting to the local residents. Say hi if you see her about!
"Hi everyone! I’m really excited to be joining the team and as Head of Operations, I have a monumental task but as part of a fantastic team, it is going to an incredible experience for us all.
My background has predominantly been in youth & community settings in both England & Wales, and then more recently in visitor attractions/heritage settings, with a national museum and an ancient scheduled monument — places with incredible stories, communities and people at their heart. Throughout my career, I’ve always been passionate about engagement, inclusion and creating experiences that help people genuinely connect with where they are and feel proud of it.
As well as ensuring visitors have a great experience & come back from more, one of the things that matters most to me is supporting teams and volunteers to feel valued, empowered and proud of the role they play within their community in bringing these amazing places to life. I firmly believe that when people feel connected to what they do, amazing things happen — and I’m really looking forward to building those relationships here too, & meeting so many community members yesterday, showed just how excited people are to have Stori Brymbo on their doorstep.
You’ll probably spot me here there & everywhere, whether that’s chatting to visitors, working alongside the team, appearing in costume at an event… or occasionally arriving in full motorbike gear before a meeting!"
