Energus is a unique conference and training venue situated on the edge of the picturesque Lake District in West Cumbria.

Since opening in 2009 ENERGUS has provided state of the art facilities to train in excess of 350 apprentices, hundreds of higher education and degree level students and many more educational events aimed at business. On the 12th May a group of NDA group graduates had the exciting opportunity to attend the Women in Nuclear UK Annual Conference.💜

The conference, themed Positively Nuclear: Powering Tomorrow, focused on the next frontier of nuclear innovation, including AI, small modular reactors (SMRs) and advanced modular reactors (AMRs). Important topics such as inclusive leadership, workforce capability, and cross-industry collaboration were covered during the conference, to provide support and solutions to attendees.💡

💬Reflecting on her experience at the conference, NDA group Human Resources graduate, Isabella Orkamfat says: "I am excited to bring these learnings back to the workplace, where I will continue to champion diversity and inclusion in all my work."
