Est.2012 A community-run festival of Music, Arts, Eco Zone, Kids-Area, Word & Literature, encouraging creativity in the community, attracting 1000s of people to Woodbridge and Suffolk annually. Starting in 2012, Woodbridge Festival of Art and Music (WFAM) re-launched as a festival run by a committee drawn from the local community in 2018 and attracted over 1000 people to a town wide event in 2019.
Faced with the pandemic it was one of few in the UK that held monthly Socially Distanced live music events throughout, from June to Dec 2020. It's featured acts such as (in no order) UK hip hop pioneer TY, Jazzie B (Soul II Soul), Phil Hartnoll/ Orbital, Leee John of Imagination/ Gorillaz/ Small Axe, Justin Robertson, Matt Black/ Coldcut, Polar Bear, Red Snapper, Mark More/ S Express, Aiko (Cz), Noisy Pots (Cz), Woodentops, The Reflex, Severino/ Horse Meat Disco, Phil Mison, Ben Osborne, Mental Overdrive, ARMS, Aruba Red, international violinists Clio Gould and Jonathan Morton, Jesse Quinn, Bratri (Cz), Ten Fé, Salad, Kirsty Allison/ Analogue Lovers, Si Begg, Flying Mojito Bros, Dudley Benson (NZ), Aldeburgh Music presents Run Time and Bird Radio, North Atlas (Sc), Exterior (Sc), Sun Cutter/ Kevin Pearce, White Noise, Peter Hepworth, Caswell, Charlie Law, JS & Lockerbillies, Laura Wyatt, Spatial Awareness, nonsuchdjs, ARMS, BBC Introducing with Richard Haugh & Graeme Mac, Mirror Signal, Love Nor Money, Dingus Khan, Booda French, Adam Double, David Freeland, Fish Claw, Aartwork, Robert Castelani, Brakish Edge, Bessie Turner, Monika Cefis (Ca), The Intermission Project, Thomas J Spieght, Smoothgroove, Cartel, Jimmy Green and many more national and local acts... It has raised funds for arts equipment for six local schools, music in health and community music projects. During the pandemic it held monthly filmed and socially distanced events, giving national and local acts paid gigs and raising funds for national and local venues. In January 2021 Woodbridge was able to take part in Independent Venue Week for the first time.
