Codfest was born in a small corner of a village pub in the summer of 2010. A group of friends, brought together by a mutual love of music festivals, gave themselves only six weeks to plan and implement the first ever festival, which went ahead on a fateful Saturday in September. Attended by 250 people, it was a huge success, and paved the way for the festival to become an annual occurrence. Over t
en years later Codfest now attracts over 1000 attendees and is a much anticipated date in the calendar for punters, traders and musicians alike. Codfest is a non-profit festival run by volunteers, with all the ticket income going to pay for the festival's necessities. Any money left over is donated to charity or invested into musical equipment for local schools.
