🏃‍♂️ 𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄'𝘀 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗱𝗮𝘆... 🏃‍♀️

The trainers are lined up.
The race number is pinned.
The pasta has been eaten... 𝗣𝗼𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗯𝗹𝘆 𝘁𝘄𝗶𝗰𝗲.

𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗳 𝗪𝗼𝗸𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗵𝗮𝗺 𝗛𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗠𝗮𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗵𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗲𝗲𝗸𝗲𝗻𝗱 𝗶𝘀 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗶𝗰𝗶𝗮𝗹𝗹𝘆 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲.

𝗧𝗼𝗺𝗼𝗿𝗿𝗼𝘄, 𝗖𝗮𝗻𝘁𝗹𝗲𝘆 𝗣𝗮𝗿𝗸 will be 𝗯𝘂𝘇𝘇𝗶𝗻𝗴.

Big energy.
Questionable dance moves during warm-ups.
And a lot of very focused faces pretending they’re not checking the distance every 400 metres.

From all of us at 𝗗𝗮𝘃𝗶𝗱 𝗖𝗹𝗶𝗳𝗳, 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗹𝘂𝗰𝗸 𝘁𝗼 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗿𝘂𝗻𝗻𝗲𝗿.

We’ll be out there cheering, clapping, and probably saying “only 10 miles to go” far too enthusiastically.

We learned of the sad passing of Paul "Stumpy" Taylor yesterday from Colin Kirkham. Stumpy was due to run this weekend and took up running after finding one of his dad's old Wokingham Half medals. He was well known in the local running scene, and anyone who knew him could testify to his acidic sense of humour. Our condolences go out to his family and friends. We will miss him as a regular at our events and also personally. RIP Stumpy.

They probably won't thank us for this, but it was Mum Hannah's idea. We have four brothers and sisters running on Sunday: Tom, 41, Andy, 39, Laura, 36, and Lucy, 34, are travelling to run together from all around the country. Good Luck :-)

We visited Peter & Barbara Evans today, who built the Wokingham Half Marathon into such a great race before handing over the organisation to us a few years ago. They gave us these medals from 1993 and 1991 (35 & 33 years ago). Has anybody got one of these at home? Is anyone running next week who ran in these races?
