Northmoor Village Hall

Northmoor Village Hall A fantastic village hall set in the heart a fabulous community! Great for parties, weddings, events, concerts, sports clubs...the list goes on!

Northmoor village hall is located in the heart of a lovely West Oxfordshire village. The Church is opposite, to the rear lies a playpark for children, and the Red Lion public house is about a hundred metres away. Twelve miles from Oxford, 6 miles from Abingdon and 8 miles from Witney, the parish sits among prime Oxfordshire farmland and is bordered on one side by the Thames. It is peaceful and pre

tty and boasts a thriving community. The architect-designed hall was built in 1997 and features a high arched ceiling, a full length conservatory, maple flooring and a fully-fitted commercial stainless steel kitchen with a double range. With its lime-rendered exterior and steep, sloping roof with high efficiency solar panels, the hall blends comfortably with the the local architecture. And, like so many buildings in the Cotswolds, it is approached via a stone bridge over the village brook. The gravel car park to the front and rear of the hall can accommodate approximately 20 cars. The hall is light and airy and can accommodate 100 people seated or 150 standing. It is an ideal venue for parties, club and social meetings, fitness groups, exhibitions, sales and presentation meetings, staff training sessions, wedding receptions and music. The hall has a full sized projector screen and professional standard audio visual system, and is capable of displaying presentations and other content on the big screen. The separate committee room seats up to 20 and is perfect for smaller meetings and displays. Ultra-fast broadband is available via a 900 Mbps symmetrical internet connection and is free to all hall users and is provided by Gigaclear. This is part of the Northmoor, Bablock Hythe and Moreton Community Broadband Project, and is supported by the Rural Communities Broadband Fund, administered by DEFRA.

A Special Celebration at Northmoor Village Hall!

In May, Northmoor Village Hall was delighted to welcome a friends & family gathering for a Golden Wedding Anniversary celebration. These lovely photos were kindly shared by William Silva, and they give a wonderful glimpse of how our village hall can be transformed for a truly special occasion.

The event was beautifully styled by 'Dreaming Spires Interiors & Events' [[email protected]], and the result was full of warmth & celebration. We hope everyone who came along enjoyed a happy and memorable occasion, and we are so pleased that Northmoor Village Hall could play a small part in such a meaningful day.

If you are planning a special event and feel inspired by these photos, we would be very pleased to hear from you. Northmoor Village Hall is a welcoming community space, and we would love to help you create a celebration to remember. This is why Northmoor Village Hall is so popular for children's parties! Did you know we're big enough to get a bouncy castle in? You do now! We were very tempted to have a go on this one & release our inner child! 🤭😁

Fancy a night of trivia, teamwork and just the right amount of friendly competition? Gigaclear is hosting a Quiz Night at Northmoor Village Hall on 20th June 2026, and you’re officially invited to show off your brainpower (or at least have a good laugh trying). Entry is just £5 per person, and teams can have up to 8 people—so round up your sharpest friends, your luckiest guessers and that one person who always knows the weird answers. Best of all, every penny raised will go to Northmoor Village Hall, St Denys Church and Northmoor Village Trust.
Hope to see you there!

Tonight we had the pleasure of hosting a Community Defibrillator Awareness Course for First For Safety Oxfordshire Ltd - Family First Aid a must for rural communities when time is of the essence & an ambulance could have some distance to travel. We hope those that attended left feeling more confident on what to do should the need ever arise.

New Year, New Beginnings!

We have a new board of trustees at Northmoor Village Hall that we would like to introduce to you all.

Taking over from Andrew Williams, Julie Williams, Neil Bird & Lynn Partridge are:
Stacey Reed; Ian Miles; Helen Hutchings; Steph Isaac; Emma Hare & Lizzie Hines.

I’m sure you will join us in thanking Andrew, Julie, Neil & Lynn for all the years of unwavering dedication in keeping the hall up & running for us all to enjoy.

Our lovely village hall is more than a building; it’s the beating heart of our rural community. We help bring people together from our weekly Thursday Club to yoga classes, the monthly village market, art classes & everything in between! We like to think that we help reduce loneliness & improve people’s physical & mental health with the activities that are held at our hall. 😊

We are run by a team of wonderful volunteers, who put a lot of time & energy in to keeping the doors open for everyone. We’re keen to hear new ideas & suggestions for future events so please do feel free to contact us about them.

We’re very affordable & ideal for birthday parties or other special events. Please support us & help keep the doors open to our lovely community space. You can do this by simply attending events we hold, hiring the hall or just spreading the word about us! For more information check out our website at www.northmoorvillagehall.co.uk or if you fancy becoming a trustee of the hall & getting involved in your community email: [email protected]. You can also find us on Facebook!

We look forward to welcoming you in the not-so-distant future.
All the very best,
Stacey - Chair
