Have you bought your tickets to the Fayre? You'll get an email TOMORROW MORNING at 9am with a link to book remaining workshop spaces.

Fair warning, they'll go quickly - some fully booked out during the earlybird phase. Some have spaces remaining, and we've added some extras too. So keep an eye on your emails and hit that button at 9am!

And if you haven't booked tickets yet, get them before the end of today (28th May) to get the workshop email!

We're delighted to be joined by Essex Cosplayers, who are supporting the judging of the Cosplay Competition!

Essex Cosplayers Community Group is a local cosplay group which attends many events in Essex and beyond. They're also involved in putting on their own events, while raising money for local charities and promoting mental health and wellbeing in the community.

The East of England has a trove of imaginative talent and the Fayre is showcasing a few of its treasures 🦸‍♂️🧙‍♂️🧛‍♂️

..we've arranged more Dungeons & Dragons sessions!

Beginner D&D with Bard the Showman booked up so fast, we just knew you wanted more. Legendary D&D community The Open Table have stepped up and are running four games each day, for four participants each.

🎲They say: "Grab your friends and come and play the opening sequence of our new homebrew campaign, 'Escape from Az'Ketral Prison', avoiding the evil gaze of the demons which dwell within. Whether you are new to D&D or an experienced player, everyone is welcome."

⏳ Sat 11-1 and 3.30-5.30
⌛ Sun 10.30-12.30 and 1.30-3.30

To grab one of the 16 spaces:

2️⃣ Look out for the workshop booking email on the morning of 29 May
3️⃣ Book fast!

There will be other workshops available - some were fully booked up by earlybirds, but there are still spaces remaining on Adventurers' Camp (survival skills), the Crystal Workshop, Avatar Facepainting, and the Feral Folk Choir. The Fayre's resident Healer also has some relaxing immersive massage experience spaces left on Sunday only.

Everything except the Healer experiences is free with your ticket - you've just got to bag a space!

Over the festival each day, Carolyn will be taking to the main stage for a live one-hour bodypainting demonstration, creating designs inspired by the World’s Edge theme right before your eyes.
🎻 Classical Music with Camilli Strings - Enjoy your favourite film, TV and game soundtracks played LIVE by classical string musicians trained at Europe’s best conservatoires as you relax in the tavern hall.
🍻 Dragonhall Tavern - need a break? Come and carouse beneath ancient oak beams, tell tales of your travels and share a bite with your adventuring party. This is the place to hear classical music, as well as...

⛺️ Camping is available!

Although it's not possible to camp *at* Cressing Temple Barns due to the archaeologically important nature of the site, we figured it would be nice for fantasy and sci-fi fans who are visiting from further away to have the option to hang out together... so we've partnered with a lovely local campsite, Sparrows.

Set amongst quiet meadows and woodland, Sparrows is offering a 10-acre field exclusively for World's Edge attendees. We've arranged a discount for you. You'll have hot showers, toilets, a communal kitchen and dining space, a bonfire area for gathering, and bell tents are even available for those who prefer to glamp. Campervans and well-behaved dogs are welcome.

Sparrows is a 15-to-18-minute drive from Cressing Temple Barns. If there's enough interest, we'll even lay on a free shuttle bus for super easy travel to and from the campsite!

You can bag your pitch once you've got your World's Edge tickets - just scroll down to the bottom of the Tickets page.
All bookings are directly with Sparrows.

If you prefer hotels, there are plenty of larger options and B&Bs alike in the towns of Braintree, Witham and Coggeshall. There are also smaller campsites in the local area!

Reminder! If you’re a longbow archer and want to enter the Tournament, you don’t need a ticket for the weekend… just the entry fee. There’s £1000 to win! 🏹 🏆

You will need to be a competent *longbow* archer... and come dressed up 🧝🏻 👸🏻 Max bow weight 60lb. Rules and how to enter are on the Fayre website - check the comments for the link, or just head to the site and tap ‘Competitions’ in the menu!

Not entering? Don't worry, you can still try your aim at the have-a-go archery range!

Help settle an argument! Sir David and Sir Dale, two knights who fell into World's Edge mid-battle, have found a Tolkien book and are quarrelling once again.

🤺 Sir David says the eagles could have taken the Ring to Mordor.

⚔ Sir Dale thinks this is absurd, it was clearly a mission for a small and subtle party.

They're fighting their way around the whole of Cressing Temple! Who's right?
