Wonderful review of Sonic Wave at Wingfield Barns last weekend in today’s Diss Express!

We had film-maker Bill Jackson presenting his new piece, the review saying… “It’s presentation of a life out of balance reminded me of Godfrey Reggio’s Koyaanisqatsi” and Addictive TV performed their AV project Orchestra of Samples, the review saying “Addictive TV was not something to miss… the combination was something wondrous to behold.”

Friday 17th July Open Air Summer Theatre
The Pickwick Papers 7.30pm

Our 2nd of 4 Outside Summer Theatre Shows

Rain or Shine plan to take us into the delightfully chaotic Victorian world of The Pickwick Papers, where misadventure and merriment collide in a whirlwind of Dickensian absurdity!

Join the lovable Mr. Pickwick and his eccentric band of companions as they bumble their way through confusing courtships, courtroom shenanigans, questionable duels, and carriage rides gone terribly wrong. Expect fast-paced wit, slapstick, more multi-rolling mayhem, and a cast of larger-than-life characters in this brand new and hilarious adaptation by Jon Legg.

As our name suggests, we have specialised in performing outdoors for over 27 years and have - and will continue performing - in all but the very worst of weathers! You’re welcome to bring blankets or chairs but please be considerate to other visitors in their placement.

Doors open 6.30pm.
Tickets £18 Concession £17 Child £8

🎬 Our Film Blog has been updated!

Ahead of this Thursday’s screening, we’re delighted to share Izzy Sieveking’s latest blog post, exploring the brilliance of Jacques Tati’s PlayTime (1967).

A dazzling blend of comedy, visual invention, and architectural wonder, PlayTime follows the gentle and ever-curious Monsieur Hulot through a futuristic Paris of glass, steel, and modern technology. With its meticulously choreographed scenes and almost wordless humour, the film invites us to slow down, look closely, and find delight in the everyday.

Widely regarded as one of cinema’s greatest achievements, PlayTime was Jacques Tati’s ambitious labour of love, resulting in a film that remains playful, inventive, and remarkably relevant today.

If you’re joining us for this Thursday’s screening, Izzy’s blog is the perfect introduction. If you’re new to Tati, it’s a wonderful invitation to discover one of the most unique films ever made.

Harvesting Memories – An Exhibition by Eileen Coxon

Join us at Wingfield Barns for our July exhibition, Harvesting Memories, featuring the evocative semi-abstract landscapes of artist Eileen Coxon.

Inspired by the agricultural landscapes of Suffolk and shaped by memories of a childhood in rural Hampshire, Eileen’s oil paintings explore the balance between the realities of modern farming and the enduring beauty of the English countryside.

🥂 Private Viewing: 2nd July, 6–8pm
🚫 Closed Saturdays
🎟️ Free Admission

“My work is about my experience of landscape... Working almost entirely from memory of the experience, I paint semi-abstracted landscapes in oils.”

We look forward to welcoming you to the Private Viewing and throughout the exhibition.
