🏳️‍🌈 The Pride flag is flying from The Windsor Guildhall for the month of June.

2026 marks the 21st anniversary of Civil Partnerships for same s*x couples in the UK. This was a historic step forward in recognising that love is love.

On the first day that these ceremonies became legal, our Royal Borough registrar team conducted the Civil Partnership ceremony for Sir Elton John and David Furnish.

🏛️ Did you know that we were built in 1687 and completed in 1690?

With over 300 years of history The Guildhall has been at the heart of Windsor life ever since - serving as a bustling corn market below, a council chamber above, and now proudly hosting weddings, special events and VIP occasions.

The building was designed by Sir Thomas Fitch, amid rumours that it was Sir Christopher Wren…

💂🏻‍♀️How spectacular did The Windsor Guildhall look, this time last year, when we welcomed some very special Household Cavalry guests ahead of their Presentation of New Standards ceremony at Windsor Castle with His Majesty The King and Her Royal Highness The Princess Royal.

🥂 They enjoyed a welcome drink in the sunshine on the Corn Market before ascending to the Council Chamber for a light lunch before heading over to Windsor Castle for the official ceremony. The King presented six new Union or Squadron Standards to The Life Guards and The Blues and Royals in the quadrangle of Windsor Castle in front of serving members’ friends, families and Associations’ members.
