Yet again our lineup artists gave us a excellent evening of music. Headlining were Boodle who gave us a range of songs influenced by blues, folk, jazz, jump jive, with a nod to country too. We loved joining in with 'Handy Man'. We were also lucky enough to welcome back to the club Graham Carter. Everyone enjoyed singing along a mix of traditional folk, blues, shanties, & Americana. Especially apt was 'Bushes & Briars' that Graham learnt from the singing of Nick Dow some years ago here at Wimborne Minster Folk Festival. Great support came from Steve Perring, who included several self-penned songs & jigs, Robert Greenwell who's varied set finished with his lovely own poem for nature & science. We also enjoyed the month of May set from Kitty Vernon, which included two traditional May songs from Padstow & Helston. As always our evening was opened by our talented MC Bill Hesp. Thanks you to everyone for your music, & your company in the audience. Thanks to the late May Bank Holiday, we'll not be returning until 8th June.

Joining us at Brunny this coming Monday, 11th May, will be Graham Carter from Glasgow. Graham is a traditional and contemporary Scottish-based folk singer, guitarist, and performer known for his work in the Scottish folk scene and as an organizer for clubs like Strathaven Folk Club. He performs a wide range of songs, including sea shanties, bothy ballads, and traveller songs across the UK.
With lively band Boodle finishing the evening, & support from Robert Greenwell, & our MC Bill Hesp, we're sure to have another great evening.
There is also one support spot available if anyone else would like to join us. Please just book your place in advance. See you all soon!
