WHAT A WAY TO END WIMBLEDON BOOKFEST 2026! ⭐️

Our final day brought together fabulous speakers Meera Syal, Caitlin Moran, Craig Revel Horwood, Clare Balding, Sathnam Sanghera, Jeevan Vasagar, Tim Spector, Arthur Snell and more for an incredible last day of stories, laughter and conversations.

RAIN DID NOT STOP PLAY AT WIMBLEDON BOOKFEST YESTERDAY!

From thought provoking discussions to inspiring stories, Saturday brought together some incredible speakers, from this year’s Merton Big Read author Elif Shafak, Zahra Joya and Ian Botham to Tahmima Anam, Simon Sebag Montefiore, Alex Edmans, Christina Lamb, Clive Anderson, Carla Montemayor and Jamie Bartlett.

✨Stellar Saturday: day 3 at Wimbledon BookFest!

Stars of stage, screen, radio and the literary world joined us yesterday for a brilliant start to our opening weekend. From classics to oral storytelling, carnival and Atlantic cruises, it was a day full of fascinating stories and unexpected connections.

And we’re only just getting started!

We couldn’t have asked for a better start to Wimbledon BookFest 2026 🎉

On our opening night we heard from local artists Mary Owusu-Hirsch and Mahin Hussain, Booker-Prize winner Ben Okri, and debut award winning fiction writers Marcia Hutchinson & Orlaine McDonald.

Last night, oral storytelling took centre-stage as Wimbledon BookFest teamed up with Dublin-founded storytelling platform Seanchoíche. Eight Seanchaí (storytellers) moved the audience with their personal stories on the theme of Connection.

STORYTELLING AT WIMBLEDON BOOKFEST TONIGHT ✨

This evening, Seanchoíche comes to Merton Arts Space for a special night of spoken stories exploring the theme of CONNECTION.

We look forward to welcoming the lucky people who got tickets to this sold out event to Wimbledon BookFest this evening!

Ahead of the festival opening tomorrow, we wanted to give a shoutout to the brilliant chairs bringing this year’s Wimbledon BookFest events to life 🎤📚

Great books get us talking, and some of our best festival moments come from the questions and unexpected conversations that happen live on stage.
