🚨🚨Caretaker Wanted🚨🚨 Are you retired or semi-retired and looking for a little something to fill some of your spare time over the summer? Do you live in Wilmslow, ideally within walking distance of Upcast Lane and Rectory Field and want to be part of a cricket club at the heart of its community. We are looking for a caretaker to help us keep on top of a number of jobs across the season, to ensure that our facilities are in the best possible shape for our fixtures and training.
Lindow Cricket Club is growing and playing at a higher level than ever before. As such we want to ensure that all our members, opposition teams, guests and visitors have the best possible experience when they are at the club. The caretaker plays a vital role in keeping the club’s grounds, pavilion, and facilities safe. This is a hands‑on, community‑focused position suited to someone who takes pride in maintaining high standards and supporting the smooth running of club activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Ensure pavilion, changing rooms, toilets, and communal areas are fit for use.
- Carry out basic maintenance tasks (e.g., minor repairs, replacing bulbs, clearing litter, reporting issues)
- Meet suppliers and accept deliveries on behalf of the club, ensuring items are checked and stored appropriately
- Ensure waste and recycling are managed appropriately
- Assist with setting up and clearing down for club events and functions
- Act as a friendly, reliable point of contact when at the club
