Wigan Beer Festival

Wigan Beer Festival Thursday 5th - Saturday 7th March 2026. The 38th Wigan Beer Festival. We'll post more often as we get closer to the date.
(1)

2017 will be the 30th Wigan CAMRA Beer Festival and we look forward to seeing you all there - old & new visitors! We'll have a variety of beers and styles, from our local and North West brewers - but also from further afield - and if we can manage it some beers that you won't be able to get anywhere else! So come down and show everyone what a good time can be had in Wigan with some good real ales

& some good company! Feel free to message this page if you have something you think we should post or inform people about.

There are a few more thank yous following this year's beer festival, and one right up there is to the drivers, conductors, mechanics, body workers, fitters, bus owners and enthusiasts of Wigan Transport Trust, without which we suspect many people wouldn't make it out to our out-of-centre venue. Thank you so much to all of them. We hope you had a great time getting these buses out and seeing them on the roads. Many hundreds of others also did. Cheers.

And the second big thank you post to a big group of people without whom there would be no beer festival, is to you our customers. Whether you have been to many of our beer festivals, some of them, or this one was your first, thank you, and we very hope to see you again next year. Cheers.

With the 38th Wigan Beer Festival now behind us in the rear view mirror, this post is one of two big thank you posts, each to a big group of people without whom there would be no beer festival, and this first group is our staff, every single one of them a volunteer. Some of those not in staff shirts in these photos from Thursday evening were staff on Friday and/or Saturday. Thank you so much for your time and talent in making this beer festival such a success. You are all greatly appreciated. And thank you Nick Fairhurst for these photos.

Thank you Nadine, Aaron and Chris from Western Australia, who just might be our longest distance visitors. Well, ok, Aaron now lives locally, and Nadine and Chris might have been visiting him, but we'll take it. We are really pleased you all enjoyed it. See you next year 😁

Starting at 11.3O from Stand A at Wigan Bus Station and then every half hour throughout the day until 8pm, a few minutes later at the stop opposite the Swan and Railway Hotel, and returning from outside the festival venue every half hour too until we close. Please use the bucket onboard to leave your donations for the Trust. Thank you
