Tomorrow is the final day of Scarecrow Week and we're finishing the week with The Wickham Bishops Garden Festival! If you're joining us tomorrow at the festival, paper voting is also available at both St Bartholomew’s Church and The Village Hall.

Voting for the Peoples Choice Award will cease at 3pm and winners will be announced tomorrow afternoon!

If you're out on your walks today be sure to pop into the Village Hall where a Summer Fair is taking place! Lots of lovely little stalls with local businesses! Open until 3pm Lve Lve

We've just been informed that poor King Arthur (Tiptree Road) has had his sword stolen. If you are aware of anyone who may have this, please can they kindly return it.
This isn't the only incident we've heard of where Scarecrows have been vandalised. It's such a shame as everyone has worked hard for this community event.

Voting for The People’s Choice is now open!

2 ways to vote:

ONLINE – Go to our 2023 Scarecrows photo gallery (below) and “Like” your favourite. You can vote/like as many as you want. Only Likes on the original photo on our page will be counted, likes on shared posts will not.

BY HAND – On Sunday 11th June, voting slips will be available at the Church and Village Hall where you can write down your top 3!
These will then be added to the online numbers!

The winner of the Peoples Choice Award will be announced at the end of the day on Sunday 11th June at the Gardens Festival!

"All the world's a stage..." 🎭

Introducing 'William Scare-speare' our entry in this year's Wickham Bishops Scarecrow Week, he is No. 07 and is on display at the village hall.

'Looking for inspiration was easy for a drama club but who else could we pick except the bard himself! Often described as the greatest writer in the English language, William Shakespeare wrote at least 37 plays and without his influence we might not be where we are now with the magnificent world of theatre and drama.'
