The Whitworth Junior Fell Race is going to have to be postponed as the weather forecast tomorrow evening makes running the event unsafe.

We have confirmed a new date of the 2nd July which is a Tuesday evening.

If you still want to enter and compete on the new date you do not need to do anything, your entry will be carried over.

If you cannot attend the new date please read the following for a refund.

If you entered at the leisure centre then you can collect your entry form and fee directly from there.

If you entered online

Send an email to [email protected] and make sure you add the entrants name, school and age on the day of the race and we will arrange a refund by either dropping off at your address or via bank transfer.

Please spread the word the event has been moved to the 2nd July so everyone receives the message.

Whitworth Junior Fell Race will take place on the 13th June.

We are looking for marshalls to help us keep everyone safe out on course, time keepers and people to help guide runners when they finish, give them some sweets and drink etc.

If you can help please pop us a pm, just needs to be for an hour/hour and a half from 6/6:30 on the evening, let us know your preference, so out on the course or time keeping, golf club area.

The race will start from its now traditional spot, a little way along the flat track that leads around the east side of Brown Wardle.
