Carnival Office will be a white van parked up at the corner of Pier Avenue and Northwood Road. There will be an official there wearing a yellow Hi Vis vest. If you are planning an entry and haven't been registered yet, please see to it that your name is added to the list. Floats may start assembling any time after 2pm. LATE ENTRIES are accepted on the day up until 4.30pm. JUDGING starts at 4.15 prompt. All entries must be in position by 4.00pm. COLLECTING TINS and collecting buckets will be available from members of the Committee or marshalls throughout the afternoon. See the official on the corner of Pier Avenue and Northwood Road. Can all volunteers please assemble by the office at 3.15 pm for instructions. You will be issued with a letter detailing your role and someone will be there to explain it to you. THE PROCESSION STARTS AT 5.30pm, passing Tankerton Circus at 5.40, Tower Parade at 5.50, The Duke of Cumberland at 6.10 and the East Kent at 6.30, or thereabouts. Times may vary depending on circumstances. Please see the attached map. After that, well let's all have fun. It's what we're doing it for. PLEASE NOTE: there will be no change vehicles preceding the procession as there have been in previous years. Please do not throw coins as this has been known to damage property and is one of the reasons the Carnival has been less well attended in recent years. If you would like to make a donation, please put your coins into the buckets or collecting tins as they pass. Thank you for your consideration. Contact [email protected] for more details.
