🧠March is Brain Tumour Awareness 🧠 and 🌼 Marie Curie Daffodil Appeal 🌼

Both my Mother-in-Law and Stepson has the same non-genetic, non-hereditary aggressive rare Anaplastic Oligodendroglioma Brain Tumour.

We think about them both a lot, especially with them both having the same tumour and also the time spent at Marie Curie for the best care for end of life.

If you see anyone collecting this month for Marie Curie, please carry and donate a few pennies to help. It costs over £8,500 a day to run Marie Curie Newcastle Hospice, with very small contribution from the government, so basically runs on public generosity. Every single penny helps and no one will judge what you put in a yellow tin 🌼.

Without these two charities we wouldn’t understand the condition, be able to see the research going into it and be able to have a piece of the amazing nursing care which both Mum and Adam received. Thank you all for reading this far, I know it’s a long one!

Another stint taking some time out to think how lucky we have been to be able to have Marie Curie North East as part of our support network when we lost Adam
In December 2019. Today we undertook some fundraising at Morrisons in Blyth which was a successful day! Bag packing next week so watch this space!!

David and I had a great day yesterday collecting for Marie Curie UK at Sainsbury’s. We met some old friends and met new ones who came to tell us about their journey with Marie Curie UK through the years. It feels good to be able to put something back, and I am sure Adam would be proud of the achievements given the money which is raised to help those who need that care when it matters the most!
