Imagine the North York Moors in summer and the sound of music drifting in the wind...it must be time for the Great North Folk Festival. PAUL LUCAS & ALAN YOUNG will present their own curated singaround , music and poetry session at the Great North ( 2pm Saturday 11th July) titled 'A Poem , A Pint , a Tune and a Song'. It's an easy going set of course so please bring yourselves your instruments , voices,a song or a poem. It's FREE providing you bought a ticket. GREAT NORTH FOLK FESTIVAL 26 July 10-12th welcomes back a cracking trio from Leeds ,WHAT LARKS singing in harmony mainly traditional songs , many with good choruses. They are Heather Woodhead, Sue Thornton and Fran Hughes. Delighted to call Tom Perry & Clive Brooks regulars of the Great North Folk Festival 10th-12th July at Botton in the heart of the North York Moors . They've been favourites,representing the sound of the tradition, since they first performed here. An extensive and varied repertoire , great harmonies and nice blokes ....what else could you ask for? Our cup runneth over with good cheer and music. Thank you, to everyone of you, for again supporting Great North Folk Festival.
