Today is National Fishing Remembrance Day, and we're proud to stand behind our nominated charity, The Fishermen's Mission, as communities across the UK pause to remember the fishermen who lost their lives at sea.

Fishing is one of the most dangerous peacetime professions in the country. On average, a fisherman is killed every six weeks. Behind every loss is a family, a crew, a harbour town that feels it.

Today is a day to remember. If you know someone who has lost a loved one at sea, this is a moment to acknowledge that.

We were delighted to have attended the annual Fishermen's Mission AGM and hear all about the incredible fundraising and work that has taken place over the past year. We are proud to have The Fishermen’s Mission as our chosen charity partner and to have raised over £100,000 throughout the years.

We were incredibly honoured to welcome our Patron, HRH Princess Anne to our AGM last week. She is such a brilliant supporter of our charity, and spent time meeting others we were recognising for their dedication and contributions to our fishing communities.

From Shetland to Whitby, from fish shops to churches, from chefs to community champions, we awarded recognition to people who have supported us for many decades or just a short time.

It was a fantastic day and a great time to celebrate that we will be 145 years old this year! 🎉

Today is , a chance to pause and appreciate the oceans that sustain life across the planet.

Here in Dorset, the sea shapes our coastline, our fishing heritage and the seafood we celebrate.

Looking after it matters.

Here’s hoping for healthy oceans, calmer waters and a little more peace on earth.
