On 22nd March we celebrated our 10 year anniversary, a big milestone for any business. We wanted to thank everyone for joining and supporting us through all these years!

Hello all,

Due to staff sickness the shoot on Saturday 1st June will not be running as planned. We apologise for any inconvenience and would like to welcome you all back on Saturday 15th June.

We would like to thank everyone who helped out during the last shoot when Trevor became unwell - Trevor is now back home and resting up ready for business as usual!

CHRISTMAS & BOXING DAY SHOOT

We would like to wish you a merry Christmas and a happy new year from all of us at Woodspring Clay Shoot!

We will be holding our BOXING DAY SHOOT from 9:30am - 12midday. This is the smaller 40 clays per round event you may be familiar with from previous years and will cost £12 per round. (We would be grateful for exact change where possible!).

Our new years shoots will run as per our standard format and pricing. We will get our full date list online shortly, hopefully the following dates will help you plan for January - we look forward to seeing you all on:

We will no longer be shooting on September 10th or 24th, due to family commitments.

We will instead be shooting September Saturday 3rd (usual opening hours) and Friday 23rd September (2pm-7pm)

A polite notice.

Following changes to the law, wearing a mask or face covering in our club house has become mandatory and so will be enforced.

Whilst we recognise that not everyone will share the same views on the matter, we would encourage everyone to support us in this matter. We are a small, family run business, and as such would not be able to continue operating if we contracted the virus. Additionally we, as many of you will also, have significantly vulnerable family members who we try to protect.

If you have a medical exemption, please wear your lanyard and avoid coming into the clubhouse where possible. We will do our best to cater for your needs within the open spaces we are fortunate to have. Whilst mask wearing may cause complications for some, we remain committed to doing our part to protect all of our customers and staff.

Thankyou for reading and continuing to support us. We very much look forward to seeing you all soon!

Firstly we wish to say a MASSIVE thankyou to everyone who has helped us to stay open through Trevor's injury - you know who you are!

Please note that we will not be running a shoot on September 11th due to family commitments, we look forward to seeing you all on our shoots leading up to, and following this date!

(Trev is resting up on doctor's orders!)

We would like to welcome you all back in line with the lifting of national lockdown! We will be opening as follows:

December 18th
December 26th - Boxing Day special! (More details will be posted nearer the time)

All shoots are open 10am - 3pm for license holders those shooting under direct supervision of licence holders. Non-licence holders, please inquire before arriving to prevent excessive queuing and to ensure we can supervise your shoot appropriately.

As we thankfully come out of lockdown once again, we can happily reopen!

We will continue with our shoot dates as of this weekend (Saturday 5th December) and look forward to seeing you all again!

Please see our previous post which details the rules we will follow as we come out of this lockdown. We will continue to make adjustments in line with legal requirements and health advice - please understand that we may not always be able to notify in advance of changes being made so be sure to check our notices on arrival.

We sincerely hope that you, your friends and families are well through all of this horrid time, and will continue to operate in a secure and sustainable manner.

We are open!

We will be following government guidelines in the reopening of our shoot. Following discussions with the police and CPSA, we ask that all customers follow our requests:

1 - observe 2m social distancing rules at all times (household groups and “bubbles” able to distance as usual)

2 - maximum group sizes of 6 (CPSA requirement). You may be asked to wait in your cars or a free space to allow groups to be staggered. We have opened the use of our far field for additional parking to support your distance.

3 - we will be using a one way system with no returning to previous stands. Use the RED roped route to return after the last stand.

4 - groups will wait at their stand until the group in front has moved on

5 - RED buckets for cartridges only, BLUE buckets for cardboard and paper towels (this protects us when sorting through them)

6 - antiviral spray and paper towels will be provided at all stands. Please use these before and after handling remotes. Groups may wish to allocate two "trap releasers" to reduce handling and waiting time between stands.

7 - Our club room will be closed at this time. Toilets remain open with regular cleaning. Please follow hand hygiene measures, using cleaning products provided.

8 - we will not be issuing scorecards to reduce transmission rate, please bring your own means to score rounds if you wish.

9 - Marshals will be on site as per usual shooting, please approach us (at a distance) with any concerns you have.

10 – Face coverings to be worn in enclosed spaces as per national guidance (please no balaclavas and guns at the tills!)
