A military plaque made from an Oak Scotch whisky barrel lid. The image is the crest of the Royal Yorkshire Regiment.

The image was first drawn onto the cleaned lid using carbon paper. The background was cut away using my big router on a leveling sled. The image was cut at different levels with a small trim router and tidied up by hand with chisels and sandpaper. Three coats of Danish oil finished it off with the brass plate being applied afterwards.

This is a squirrel feeder made from Cedar sourced from Central Scotland Sawmill. Cedar is naturally rot and bug resistant and doesn’t need additional protective coating.

The feeder has a perspex face so that the squirrels can see the nuts inside and is designed to be mounted high up with a hinged lid that the squirrels can open to get the nuts.

I will make these to order with proceeds going to support the WATIF Community workshop.

They will be priced at £25 each.

Just fitted this sign today for Mark Walker Dog Training & Behaviour - Canine Solutions

Made on a plank of live edged Cedar sourced from. Central Scotland Sawmill.

The font is Comic Sans all hand routed into the surface. A couple of coats of yacht varnish will hopefully protect it from the elements.

This is a sign made for the lucky recipient of my gift token I use for local tombolas.

The wording and Welsh dragon were hand routed into the wood with the image of a very handsome Welsh pony burned in using a pyrography kit.

Just completed my first hedgehog house. Made from Cedar sourced from Central Scotland Sawmill

The roof is hinged and lockable to allow for a clean out.

Being made from Cedar it is naturally bug and rot resistant without needing additional coatings that could be harmful to our wee friends.

The interior dimensions are minimum of 560mm x 317mm x 185mm.

Just completed this rustic log cabin style birdhouse and feeder.

It's made from Cedar sourced from Central Scotland Sawmill .

I made it so it can be lifted off the base to allow for annual cleaning. It will be interesting to know what kind of birds will use it.

A childs height measure cut on a stunning live edged piece of Oak. Sourced from The Wood Place. All hand routed using Kunster font for the wee ones name. Child friendly Comic Sans font was used on the numbers and quote to make it easier to read.

It was made to be mounted on the wall 150mm above the floor to clear skirting boards. Keyhole slots were cut in the back to allow for accurate hanging.
