Wells Theatre Festival in the heart of the smallest city in England. 🎉 The inaugural Wells Theatre Festival will take place 12th- 15th July 2018.

The festival boasts as its patrons film, theatre, television and opera director Sir Richard Eyre and renowned actress and author Dame Judi Dench. The programme will include nationally celebrated South West companies alongside international touring companies leading workshops and performances. A community production of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet will take place on the Cathedral Green.

✨ We are looking for both children and adults to join the cast of A Christmas Carol, along with anyone interested in helping backstage.

🎭 Auditions take place on Sunday the 14th of June from 2:00 to 5:00 pm at The White Hart, Wells.

We are looking for both children and adults, as well as anyone interested in helping behind the scenes.

Rehearsals begin in October ahead of a festive run.

🔥 Do Not Miss This Upcoming Charity Firewalk 🔥

On Friday 17 April, The Very Reverend Toby Wright, Dean of Wells, will be taking on a charity firewalk on the Cathedral Green to support SWEDA, raising vital funds and awareness for people affected by eating disorders and body image concerns across Somerset and the wider region.

Members of the community aged 18 and over are warmly invited to take part alongside him and support this important cause. It promises to be a memorable evening, bringing people together for something truly meaningful.

🎨🪐 Create Your Cosmic Parade 🪐🎨

The Project Factory invites you to join their Lantern Workshops, celebrating this year’s parade theme:

✨ It Came From Outer Space ✨

Participants are welcome to follow the theme with stars, spacecraft, galaxies or imaginative cosmic creations, but the theme is not compulsory. You are free to design any style of lantern you wish, with volunteers on hand to support you throughout. No previous experience is required.

🗓 Workshop dates: 3rd and 4th January
⏰ Sessions: 10.00am to 1.00pm or 1.00pm to 4.00pm

Families, adults and groups are welcome, with plenty of space available.
