Let's take a look at some of the bands taking over our Main Stage on Friday, 17th & Saturday, 18th July, and remember - this is only the beginning. There are still more stages to come in the New Year and many more bands still to be announced. 👀
Reverend And The Makers broke through in 2007 with their Top 5 debut album The State of Things, producing well-known tracks like Heavyweight Champion of the World, Open Your Window and He Said He Loved Me. Since then, they’ve remained a regular presence at major festivals including Glastonbury, Reading & Leeds and T in the Park, and have toured alongside acts such as Oasis and Arctic Monkeys. With continued touring across the UK and Europe and their new album due for release in April 2026, their set at Godney offers the chance to see a band with a strong live reputation and a catalogue that still connects with audiences nearly two decades on. 🤘
The Pigeon Detectives became a staple of the 2000s indie scene with their debut album Wait for Me, which reached the UK Top 5 and delivered crowd favourites like Take Her Back, I Found Out and This Is An Emergency. Known for their fast-paced, high-energy live shows led by frontman Matt Bowman’s unmistakable stage presence, they’ve spent the past two decades touring extensively and only just finished their best of tour, Still Not Sorry, last weekend at Manchester! We look forward to welcoming their loyal fanbase to Godney! 🎸

We are really excited to introduce you to your Friday night headliner, Dodgy! After rising to prominence in the 90s with their platinum-selling album Free Peace Sweet, producing enduring hits such as Good Enough, and Staying Out for the Summer. Their melodic Britpop sound and strong harmonies earned them regular radio play and a solid live following, leading to more than 30 years of shows behind them, their Spring 2026 'Hello Beautiful' Album tour ahead of them, and a reputation for easygoing, feel-good sets that resonate across generations, they remain a reliable festival favourite and a welcome dose of summer nostalgia. ☀️
Fun Lovin' Criminals broke through in the late 90s with their signature blend of rock, hip-hop and funk, producing well-known tracks like Scooby Snacks, King of New York and Love Unlimited. They’ve toured extensively across Europe and the US, appearing at all the major festivals. Fun Lovin' Criminals officially returned with their first studio album in 15 years, A Matter of Time, released in August 2025. So, welcome back boys! 🚓
The Wurzels remains an essential part of Somerset’s musical identity, known for crowd-pleasing favourites like The Combine Harvester and I Am a Cider Drinker. For decades, they've been performing their Scrumpy and Western hits at local shows and major festivals alike, and despite decades passing, they keep performing... In 2025, they even released a new single, Wurzel Me Up. We know they'll get your feet stomping and your voices singing, as you drink the bar dry at Godney 2026... alright? 🍺
